The Challenge: Managing Multiple Access Points

  1. Vehicle Access
    ORA required a secure, efficient solution to manage long-range vehicle access for residents and authorized personnel. The solution needed to be fast, reliable, and able to handle high traffic flow in and out of the community.
  2. Personal Access
    Alongside vehicle access, ORA needed an advanced system for managing personal access to doors and entry points within the community. This had to be user-friendly and eliminate the need for traditional keycards or fobs.
  3. Visitor Management
    A secure and efficient way to manage visitor access was crucial. ORA wanted a solution that could provide temporary access to visitors while maintaining the same level of security as the permanent residents.
  4. Seamless Integration
    All these access control systems needed to be seamlessly integrated, and ORA wanted a unified experience, allowing residents and staff to manage all aspects of access from a single mobile application.

The Solution: One Unified Experience

Nedap’s state-of-the-art access control technology offered ORA a tailored solution that meets the highest standards of security and convenience:

  1. Long-Range Vehicle Access
    Nedap’s long-range UHF RFID solution, consisting of the uPASS Go reader in combination with vehicle-mounted UHF RFID tags, provides a fast and secure way to manage vehicle access to the community. As a vehicle approaches the gate, the uPASS Go automatically detects and verifies the tag, granting access within seconds without requiring drivers to stop or present a credential. This seamless interaction between reader and tag ensures contactless and automated identification, enhancing both security and traffic flow efficiency, while delivering a smooth, user-friendly entry experience for residents and staff alike.
  2. Digital ID for Door Access 
    For people identification and door access within residential and commercial areas, Nedap’s solutions enable secure, keyless entry through digital credentials. Residents and staff can use their smartphones or other authorized devices to unlock doors and gates via a mobile app. As each person approaches an access point, their credential is verified instantly, granting entry within seconds. This digital identification approach eliminates the need for traditional keycards or physical fobs, offering a modern, convenient, and highly secure method of managing personal access across the community.
  3. Visitor Management System
    The visitor access management solution allows residents to easily pre-register guests through the mobile app. Visitors can receive temporary access credentials (via QR codes or digital keys) that are valid for a specific time period. At the gates, visitor vehicle access is facilitated by Nedap’s NVITE, enabling secure, contactless identification of registered guests.
    This system provides complete traceability and security while ensuring a smooth entry process for guests. The integration of visitor data with the community’s access system further enhances the security and operational efficiency of the entire site. 
  4. Seamless Integration to Mobile App 
    Integration with ORA’s mobile app allows residents to manage all access rights—from vehicle entry and door access to visitor management- directly from their smartphones. This unified setup ensures a seamless, traceable, and convenient experience for both residents and visitors.
